FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AND INFORMATION

Class of 2017 seniors visited their Ruby Bridges Elementary and offered words of wisdom and advice to fourth and fifth graders.

Our former students are graduates of Alameda High, ASTI High, Encinal High, and Island High School.

They will be attending various Peralta Colleges, UCs, CSUs, University of Oregon, Yale, and joining branches of the military.  We are so proud of all our former students and their hard work.  We look forward to seeing what our future students will accomplish!

School begins August 21, 2017

The California Education Code Section 60615 states that parents/guardians may annually submit a written request to the principal of their student’s school if they do not wish to have their student take any or all tests. If a parent or guardian submits an exemption request after testing has begun, any test(s) completed before the request is submitted will be scored and the results reported to the parent or guardian and included in the pupil’s records.  AUSD teachers and schools support students to do well on the tests and help them learn test-taking skills that will enable them to be successful throughout their school career and beyond.  We encourage parents to contact their child’s teacher or principal with any concerns they may have about the test before they request that their student be excluded from taking the test(s).

About Our School

Our beautiful new school opened in 2006 with Ruby Bridges, herself, coming to our dedication in October. We celebrate our diversity, value educational achievement and take pride in being the future. In addition to a fabulous staff, we have an active hardworking PTA and three afterschool programs. We have a variety of intervention and enrichment programs to help meet the needs of every student. Our students can learn the responsibilities of peer leadership by being Peacemakers and members of the student council. When you come visit our  school you will see active learners and enthusiastic teachers.
