Alameda Free Library

Children and their families are invited to the following FREE events at the Main Library:


Sat Oct 5th: Star Wars day for kids in grades K-4. 

Program includes: crafts, games, snacks and a movie (Star Wars Clone Wars televised series, unrated)

Space is limited and RSVP required:747-7705

2-4:30pm Main Library, Children's Programming Room


Sun Oct 6th Live Owl Presentation for kids in grades K-6 and their parents. 

Presentation by EBPRD & Native Bird Connection includes exploration of touchable artifact and observation of live owls. Books Inc onsite to provide sales of several owl-related books for elementary-age children following the presentation.

RSVP is not required but seating is limited. Doors open at 2:45.

3-4pm Main Library, Stafford Room


First Friday Family Films: Beginning in October, the Library will be hosting a new, FREE event for families called  "First Friday Family Film". A family-friendly film will be shown the first Friday of each month beginning at 7:00pm in in the Stafford Room at the Main Library (enter through courtyard located at the rear of the building, off back parking lot).  Please go to the Alameda Free Library's library website and click on Children's Services "Special Events" for more information.
